California Assembly Bill No. 1200
California Assembly Bill No. 1200 (AB1200) Cookware Disclosure
California’s AB 1200 requires manufacturers of listed cookware to disclose select chemicals if they are being intentionally added to the products’ food contact surfaces or handles to achieve a functional result, regardless of the amount added.
As a company, MW Polar is committed to meeting and even exceeding all the regulatory standards required to protect our customers. We work with our suppliers to routinely test our products to ensure that they comply with all applicable federal and state safety regulations, including FDA requirements for food contact material safety.
PTFE. PFA, and FEP are all fluoropolymers (PFAS) that create a non-stick surface on the food-contact surface of cookware and bakeware products. California Assembly Bill No. 1200 (AB1200) requires the disclosure on the product label and online that PFAS chemicals are used in cookware products.
In accordance with California AB1200, we are disclosing the use of certain PFAS chemicals that are intentionally added in the production of the Dynamic cookware products, a brand distributed by MW Polar.
